Notes: 1978 World Championship winning car. The Lotus 79 is considered the classic ground effects car. Models with JPS liveries fetch higher prices. The 1:18 Minichamps has removable engine cowling revealing the Ford Cosworth DFV.

Notes: While teammate Mario Andretti took the 1978 championship with 4 wins, Ronnie won the Austrian GP.  Although resale prices dropped 5 years ago from their highs when Minichamps re-released a new production run, recent prices have recovered. Also, the Peterson 1:18 can sometimes fetch higher prices than the Andretti 1:18 model.

Notes: Dumfries was drafted in to replace DeAngelis as Senna’s team-mate for 1986 after Ayrton vetoed Derek Warwick. Despite only racing in F1 for one season with best result of 5th at Hungarian GP, the Dumfries’ 98T fetches decent prices without any huge discount to the more illustrious Senna 98T.

Notes: Nakajima was drafted in to be Senna’s 1987 teammate with new Honda engines and yellow Camel livery. Best result 4th at the British GP. The older model was the Lotus licensed Minichamps release, while the new release is the 1987 Italian GP ‘Senna taxi’ model with Senna figurine.
