Bernie Ecclestone Ferrari car collection auction

Congrats to McLaren on ending securing the 2024 F1 constructors championship after a long 25+ years wait! For tifosi, Charles & Carlos efforts were close but in the end not quite enough to grab the constructors title but 2025 looks promising with new recruit Lewis.

Talking of Ferrari, most model car collectors will have at least one Ferrari car in their collection. If you’re Bernie Ecclestone (the godfather of modern F1) however, you are the owner of several of Ferrari’s actual iconic F1 race cars including the 412T, 412T2, 375, Dino 246,  Schumacher’s F2002. The Donnington car museum (which I had the opportunity to visit over a decade ago) housed a lot of Bernie’s collection for public viewing including the infamous but spectacular Gordon Murray designed Brabham BT46B fancar and the BT55 (predecessor to the legendary McLaren MP4/4). Bernie has now decided to let go over 70 cars which include his beloved Brabhams, Ferrari, Bugattis and Vanwalls (Stirling Moss’ VW10).

Tom Hartley Jr is conducting the auction sale and because the cars in Bernie’s collection are so historically significant, I thought it was worthwhile including Tom Hartley’s Youtube interviews with Bernie. Its well worth watching if you’re a fan of the older era F1 cars.
