Book Review: Racing Legends – Lando Norris by Maurice Hamilton
Positives
Negatives
Heading into this new season, it well and truly looks like Lando Norris has been tagged the early favourite to take the 2025 Drivers championship based on McLaren’s form vs Red Bull in the second half of last year’s championship.
Lando is part of the new crop of young lead drivers that are hugely popular with the younger generation of F1 fans. For junior fans, a new book series of F1 driver biographies by Maurice Hamilton (long time F1 author for grownups) features Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, Lewis Hamilton, Charles LeClerc, Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso.
At 170 pages long, the book covers Lando’s early childhood karting days up through the junior formulas then ticking off a lot of his firsts e.g. first GP, first podium, first pole position up to the end of the book, with his maiden F1 win at 2024 Miami GP.
While there’s biographic content, the book also includes a mixture of non-Lando material, like explaining different junior formula series, aspects of F1, Lando’s team mates, Singapore GP, Mexican GP and McLaren cars.
There are no photos other than on the cover and all the images are comic book style hand illustrations by Cat Sims.
Overall a fun and enjoyable read of Lando’s progress and a few of his side hobbies.
